Three teaches in God's Word: 4th Sunday of Ordinary Time

Listen to the homily here.

Notes:
Zephaniah a prophet: “But I will leave as a remnant in your midst a people humble and lowly, who shall take refuge in the name of the LORD: the remnant of Israel.”

Beatitudes (happiness): “Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you falsely because of me.  Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven."

Matthew 10:16:  “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.”
·      We are to serve the poor
·      We are called to be humble
·      We are called to be innocent
·      At the same time, we must be wise “as serpents”
·      In spiritually, we are “sheep in the midst of wolves”

And how does these readings connect?
·      Jesus Christ
