Bulletin Parish: 5-1-16 (Summer Events)

This summer we will have two awesome events for our Church and School.

The first opportunity is during our 4th of July weekend (Saturday, July 2nd-Monday, July 4th).  We have several areas to evangelize and welcome people to visit our Church and School.

Do you know that St. Thomas Aquinas church was dedicated on Sunday, July 2nd, 1916?  That was 100 years ago!  On our evening Mass on Saturday, July 2nd, I will bless our Church remembering our dedication.  We will use marketing and advertising to welcome many people back to our Church. Please pass the news along!

Another prospect is to offer a public Mass outside on Sunday, July 3rd.  We will pray, discern and figure out how to make this happen.  Please pray!

We have some other ideas for this whole weekend.  This will help our Church and School, giving away hundreds of Dynamic Catholic books that we still have (Rediscover Jesus and Beautiful Mercy) for free, and we can sell my book as well.

The second opportunity is on Saturday, August 13th.  Our Falls High School All Class Reunion will bring many brothers and sisters in town.  Lots of these people began their faith at our Church and their education at our School.  And yes, our Catholics will be welcomed (both students from St. Thomas Aquinas School and students from our public Falls Schools).  This is a perfect time for evangelization—back to Mass.

Part of this evening on August 13—after the blessing of our Church we will host a blessing of our School.  We will begin that Saturday Mass at the stairs of our School and I will bless this building, too. After the Mass is concluded, we will keep the doors open to our school to welcome people back to visit it again and see how things have progressed since they graduated.

Please put these dates on your calendar, as they will be awesome. It will be a great time to welcome many people to visit our Church and School, and evangelize their faith in our family!

God Bless!
