Parish Bulletin Article: "Advent Mission: 12-16-18

“Shout for joy, O daughter Zion!  Sing joyfully, O Israel!” Zephaniah 3:14.
Gaudete—rejoice!  We come into the third weekend of Advent, in which I will be wearing the pink/rose chasuble, only one of two weekends in the whole year.
This weekend is a time to pause with joyfulness during this season. Allow your soul to take a breath to prepare your heart to continue your goals and discernment during the last days of Advent to be ready for the birth of Jesus Christ.
And praise God, we have some pleasant moments to gather together this week as I wrote about this last weekend and here are the final dates and times to support your relationship with Jesus Christ.  Here is the final schedule this week for our mission:
·     Tuesday, December 18th beginning at 6:00pm
o  Ben Frost will be giving a 20-30 minute talk about mercy and encouraging us to receive the gifts of Eucharistic Adoration, praise and worship music and Confession with me or visiting priests.  Please go to confession!
·     Wednesday, December 19th beginning at 6:30pm
o  Mass at 6:30pm
o  Also, instead of our faith formation sessions, our students, as well as our parishioners, will be able to continue with Eucharistic Adoration and Confession will be available as well.
·     Thursday, December 20th beginning at 5:00pm
o  Again, Eucharistic Adoration and Confessions will be open at St. Columban with Fr. Nick Nelson.
Let us continue to focus our souls toward God.  Find silence, prayerfulness, listening, offerings and evangelization.
As a family, may we get ready for Christmas!

God Bless!
