Bible Bookmarks

One of the greatest explanations of approaching the Scriptures I have heard came at a conference I attended years ago.  Regrettably, I cannot remember the presenters name, but all credit goes to him for this idea.  He said to think of the Bible not as a book, but as a library (the root word for "Bible" actually means book in plural form).  In this library there are two main wings: the Old Testament and New Testament.  He broke these two wings down into four different rows.  The Old Testament wing contains the Pentateuch, Historical Books, Wisdom Literature and Prophets.  The New Testament wing contains the Gospels, Acts of the Apostles, Epistles and Revelation.  With permission from the presenter, I took his eight bookmarks and tweaked them a bit.  You will see that each are labeled with the books contained in this section of the library, main events, main characters, how God fits into the overarching "story" of the Bible and how you fit in.  You are welcome to print these if you would like and place them in your own Bible at the beginning of each section.  Peruse God's library!
