The Easter Candle on the Easter Vigil
· One
candle in darkness
· Then
the servers
· Then
parishioners
“No one who lights a lamp conceals it with a vessel or
sets it under a bed; rather, he places it on a lampstand so
that those who enter may see the light.”
We must have confidence to show the light of Jesus
Christ everywhere
· Grocery
stores, restaurants, gas stations, hospital, clinics, events
· Do
not hide your light under a bed or covered
· Do
not keep it “private”
· Bring
it out to the world!
“For there is nothing hidden that will not become
visible, and
nothing secret that will not be known and come to light.”
