give up chocolate for Lent”

tell everyone what you are giving up!
o Yes,
a close friend, spiritual director, family, etc.
o But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and
pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will
reward you.
· Don’t have better meals on Fridays than the rest of the
year
o Red Lobsters
o McDonald’s
Peter began to say to Jesus,
'We have given up everything and followed you."
